DATA FELLOW

DATA FELLOW

The great swing state of Wisconsin often feels like the center of the political and public policy universe, especially during an election year. Major outcomes from abortion rights to voting access often ride on just how many Wisconsinites decide to stay home or show up at the polls. A lot of pressure, right?

Luckily, Wisconsin has a super power: it’s young voters. Over 300,000 college students call Wisconsin home – when we organize on campuses, students vote.

Building on work started during the April 2023 Supreme Court Election, we’re building a scrappy and innovative organization that will organize and inspire thousands of college students to vote in the 2024 elections.

What Will You Do?

Data fellows will work with our Data Director and Campus Organizers to ensure our data systems are operating correctly and completely up to date to allow us to effectively mobilize students to vote in 2024. This is an excellent opportunity to get an inside look at how political campaigns work, while contributing to critical elections in 2024.

Our Data Fellows will start in mid to late August and work through the election. Fellows will spend 15 hours a week inputting data, updating data systems, and ensuring data is being recorded accurately and promptly. This is a paid fellowship.

Who Are You?

As a successful candidate for this job, you will:

  • Have a passion for progressive politics and inspiring young people to get involved

  • Be excited to think outside the box and to innovate

  • Be eager to tackle as much data entry as possible to support our organizer’s work on the ground.

  • Be scrappy and flexible; able to manage several tasks simultaneously

  • Be a self-starter, exceptionally well-organized, and have strong time management skills

  • Be enrolled at a Wisconsin college or university

Job Details: Campus Data Fellows are paid a monthly stipend of $1,000 and are expected to work 15 hours a week.

To Apply: Please send your resume and an optional brief statement of interest (150-200 words) to jobs@wiscoproject.org.  Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
