I am anxious about voting for the first time. Help!
Voting for the first time can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be! Be sure to ask questions, come prepared, and center the reality that you are letting your voice be heard!
Remember that you can bring your phone to the polling place and you can use it in the polling booth, as long as it is not a distraction to others (Yes! You can google things on the spot!). You can also bring in a written list of who you want to vote for/what your plan to vote is.
You can always ask a poll worker for assistance. It is their job to help you!
Bring a friend with you! Going to the polls with a group of friends is the best way to work through any anxieties you may have. It also helps our democracy :)
